Winter/Spring Small Groups
January - May
We are excited to continue with small groups as the new year begins! We invite you into this opportunity and hope you will consider one of these groups for this semester.
We have a variety of different small group offerings this semester. There is truly a group for everyone. We hope that you will spend time considering the different groups and choose one to attend. If you do not feel that a group is a good fit for you, feel free to sign up for another one. You can see all the information on the group leaders, when/where they are meeting, what they are studying and childcare options, below. While groups may be going through particular studies or books of the Bible, you are welcome to jump in and join them at any point!
We take a break from our small groups during the summer, but instead offer a Wednesday night discipleship and fellowship option called Firestarter. Information on that weekly event will be available shortly!
Haugstad/Dalton Small Group
Brian & Jana are active volunteers at Awaken, and Johanna and Willie Dalton are both on staff part-time at Awaken. Anyone is welcome in their group, childcare is not provided.

Wednesday Night Small Group
We will be having a joint small group effort at the church on Wednesday evening. It will be led by Nathan Smith, Livi Kirk, Kent Wiley, and Andy Peters. The evening includes a meal and a large-group teaching time, followed by discussion in smaller groups. Children’s ministry is provided for this group.

Men’s Small Group
Levi will be hosting a monthly men’s breakfast for a time of food, fellowship, and study. It will be an informal meeting that will allow for connections between all the men of Awaken. All men are welcome and childcare is not provided.

Ward Small Group
Wally and Linnea are parents to a sweet, growing toddler. They are passionate about studying the Bible and their group will be focusing on a deep dive of a specific topic/book. Their group will be virtual. Anyone is welcome in their group.

Ladies’ Evening Small Group
Heidi will be leading a ladies’ small group. This is open to ladies in all life stages. Childcare is not provided.

Anderson Small Group
Seth and Mary are an Alaskan-loving couple with two adorable kids. They are passionate about community and connection. Anyone is welcome to join this group! Dinner & childcare will be provided.

Arise Monthly Small Group
Danis Davis leads this city-wide women’s group each month. Her desire is to connect the body of Christ across Anchorage churches from one generation to another. Any woman is welcome to join this group; no childcare is provided.
